    Dublin City Council needs an Architect-led multi-disciplinary design team for pyrite remediation works and other specified works at the Darndale Regional Youth Facility in Dublin, including the provision and removal of temporary decant accommodation. The contract has a maximum total value of 300,000 EUR and a duration of 42 months. The services required include Architect, Design Certifier and Assigned Certifier, Employer’s Representative, PSDP, Civil and Structural Engineer, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineer, Fire Safety Consultant, and Quantity Surveyor. The project is located in Dublin.

    About the bid

      The project consists of pyrite remediation works and other specified works to the building and its surrounding area. To provide continuity of the Sphere 17 Regional Youth Service for the duration of the existing building works, temporary decant accommodation on the nearby “Belcamp E” site will be required. This needs to be constructed and in operation before the existing building works can commence. The temporary decant accommodation is to be removed upon the completion of the existing building works and the reoccupation of the building. An Architect-led multi-disciplinary design team is required for this project. The services will comprise of the following: • Architect • Design Certifier and Assigned Certifier under the Building Control Regulations 1997 to 2024 (as amended) • Employer’s Representative for all works contracts (including investigations) • PSDP • Civil and Structural Engineer • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineer • Fire Safety Consultant • Quantity Surveyor The Architect will be the Design Team Lead and the Employers Representative. The Architect and / or its nominees will be appointed as both the Design Certifier and Assigned Certifier. The Architect and / or its nominees will be appointed as the PSDP and Fire Safety Consultant. • Stage 1 – Preliminary Design • Stage 2 – Design • Stage 3 – Tender Action, Evaluation and Award • Stage 4 – Construction • Stage 5 – Handover The Project Brief and Service Requirements are further described in the tender documents.
