    Health Service Executive (HSE) needs NRFit™ Consumable Products which comply with ISO 80369 Standard for a dynamic purchasing system over 5 years, with a maximum total value of 10,000,000 EUR. The products are for neuraxial (spinal) applications, including administering medications to neuraxial sites, wound infiltration anaesthesia delivery, other regional anaesthesia procedures, or to monitor or remove cerebrospinal fluid for therapeutic or diagnostic purposes. The connectors are designed to be incompatible with other connectors to prevent dangerous wrong route connections. The project location is Dublin.

      This DPS Invitation has been prepared for the purpose of providing information to economic operators interested in participating in a public procurement process for the establishment of a Dynamic Purchasing System (hereafter the DPS) for the supply of NRFit™ Consumable Products which comply with ISO 80369 Standard (hereafter the Goods). In 2010, a new international safety standard for small bore connectors (ISO 80369) was developed by an international group of experts from 31 countries. This included a dedicated connector for neuraxial (spinal) applications (NRFit™ ISO 80369-6) defined as “those for administering medications to neuraxial sites, wound infiltration anaesthesia delivery and other regional anaesthesia procedures, or to monitor or remove cerebrospinal fluid for therapeutic or diagnostic purposes”. The connectors designed under this standard are intentionally incompatible with other connectors used in different organ systems to prevent dangerous wrong route connections.
