Rural Transport Services Qualification System

The National Transport Authority (NTA) is further expanding and enhancing the public transport network. The NTA would like to remind Transport Operators that they can register for tender competitions here for TFI Local Link services at any time. Tender competitions will include the new and enhanced Connecting Ireland routes along with re-tendering of TFI Local Link Regular Rural Services (RRS) and the Demand Responsive Services (DRT), along with some urban services, which will operate under the TFI Local Link brand in provincial towns. Interested Transport Operators can register their interest within this CFT.

The National Transport Authority needs traffic and transport survey resources for transport-related projects through a 4-year framework agreement, with a maximum total value of 2,800,000 EUR. Bus Éireann/Irish Bus needs to purchase and/or lease low emission and, where possible, zero-emission coaches and school buses over a 5-year period, with a maximum total value of 120,000,000 EUR. The vehicles must comply with the latest EURO VI Regulation and the EPA’s guidelines on road transport vehicles. This is a qualification system for a panel, broken down into Lot 1 for purchase and Lot 2 for lease, and suppliers must complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) to be considered for inclusion.
