Statsbygg is constructing the new Life Science Building (LVB) for the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital, commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Research, with South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority as co-commissioning party. The building will accommodate approximately 1,600 employees and 1,600 students.Excavation and groundworks commenced in the second quarter of 2019, and completion is planned for the end of 2026.The building will bring together various academic communities to work across disciplines to develop new solutions to major challenges in health and sustainability. They will have access to the best and most modern equipment required to conduct world-class research, teaching and innovation.
