About the bid

Vinmonopolet aims to conduct a prequalification of suppliers, to be able to participate in a tender for the delivery of a new traceability and follow up system. The system will essentially allow Vinmonopolet and our direct business partners, (our Norwegian wholesalers/importers) to conduct Human Rights and Climate and Environmental (ESG) Due Diligence per product.Main features of the procedureThe project has the following goals:Establish and implement a solution that structures and systematizes the follow-up of the supply chain, organization-wide and in collaboration with the industry, with the aim of:Allowing Vinmonopolet to conduct due diligence assessments for our complete value chain, in accordance with current and future legislation and requirements. Current legislation includes the Norwegian Transparency Act, whilst future legislation includes (but is not limited to) The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD-reporting in accordance to European Sustainability Reporting Standard) and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. (CSRD)Providing knowledge about the origin of products we purchase and sell and an overview of branches in the supply chain.Creating a comprehensive, transparent, and verifiable set of information for prioritizing efforts and our follow-up across internal functions in our company (Including but not limited to Anti-corruption, product quality, climate and environment, human rights, and decent working conditions).Streamlining internal processes related to gathering of data, interpretation of data, risk assessment and follow-up in the supply chain.Facilitating more scalable and less vulnerable risk management processes in our company, with our first-tier suppliers and in the supply chain.Establishing infrastructure that enables systematic collaboration on sustainability with our direct suppliers and possibly other Nordic alcohol monopolies.Providing a comprehensive, transparent, and verifiable set of information on processes around our Due diligence, that may be used for communication with our owners, suppliers and eventually customers.
