    Brief

FAIR - Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbH has entered into an agreement with TRACE Sciences International Corporation for the delivery of the stable isotope 48Ca as calcium carbonate. This material is crucial for the heavy ion beam at GSI for FAIR Commissioning, FAIR Early Science, and FAIR First Science, and will be used for experiments in basic research on the structure of matter. The delivery will take place in Darmstadt, Kreisfreie Stadt, Germany. A key requirement was that the 48CaCO3 must have the maximum available enrichment, with quotations below 50% enrichment in 48Ca being excluded. Additionally, a guaranteed delivery by December 1, 2026, was mandatory, with offers exceeding this deadline being excluded. Two bids were received for this contract.
