Education Procurement Service (EPS) needs the supply and delivery of a Coastal and Offshore Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) for the University of Limerick (UL) over 48 months, with a maximum total value of 1,656,000 EUR. The ASV, which must be greater than 6.5 meters in length, will support marine science research, hydrographic and geophysical survey, offshore wind site survey, and climate and habitat monitoring within the Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CRIS). The platform should be a long-endurance, uncrewed survey vessel capable of fully autonomous and remotely piloted operation in coastal and offshore environments, featuring high-quality station-keeping, an integrated moonpool for deployment and recovery of subsea instrumentation, a towing winch for towed-body operations, and over-the-horizon communications and control.

The platform, to be delivered in the South-West region of Ireland, must comprise seven complementary subsystems (Measurement Core, Optical Metrology, Thermal Modules, HV Subsystem, Fixturing and Probing, Workstation, and Infrastructure) and be capable of comprehensive, high-resolution ferroelectric and piezoelectric characterisation of ferroic materials across a broad temperature range. This platform will serve as a unified, high-performance infrastructure for fundamental research and industrial benchmarking of advanced ferroic and piezoelectric materials, supporting the development of next-generation sensors, actuators, and computing architectures.
