8816 QS Large Civil Engineering Works - Lots 4-6 (Design and Build Requirements)

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) currently have a multi-party Qualification System (QS) for large Civil Engineering Works associated with the upgrading of the railway infrastructure or Rosslare Europort and other related works that Iarnród Éireann may undertake directly or on behalf of Bus Eireann, Dublin Bus or CIE on their properties. This Qualification System currently has three lots: Lot 1 – Civil Works €5m to €10m, Lot 2 – Civil Works €10m to €20m, and Lot 3 - Civil Works €20m to €50m. This Qualification System is currently available here: https://www.etenders.gov.ie/epps/dps/prepareViewCfTDPSWS.do?resourceId=3407229. IÉ intend to establish 3 additional lots under the above Qualification System (QS) relating to Design and Build (D and B) requirements. It is intended that these requirements will be used to undertake various works in conjunction with large capital projects, such as DART+, Cork Area Commuter Rail (CACR), East Coast Railway Infrastructure Protection Projects (ECRIPP), etc. The extent and details of these works will vary from location to location. All project works shall be tendered to those companies, depending on the selected lot, approved for inclusion on this Qualification System under the chosen lot. Companies may apply for one or multiple lots and can apply for inclusion at any stage of the Qualification System’s duration. The lots available for application are as follows: Lot 4: Design and Build Requirements for Large Civil Engineering Works (€5m to €10m). Lot 5: Design and Build Requirements for Large Civil Engineering Works (€10m to €20m). Lot 6: Design and Build Requirements for Large Civil Engineering Works (€20m to €50m). Additional requirements relating to Design and Build (D and B) will fall under the following scope: Ancillary civils design to for all civils related works and minor building works as required, Ancillary civils design to support utility diversions (if required by utility owners), Ancillary civils design for construction compounds, Highways design for compound accesses, Highways and geotechnical design, Ancillary civils design for site clearance works and compound establishment, Ancillary civils design for construction fibre backbone containment, Signaling and Telecom design for construction fibre backbone, Structural design for Road Bridge Reconstruction.

9667-Qualification System for Civil Engineering Works for €1m to €5m - Lot 1

Iarnród Eireann-Irish Rail needs civil engineering works for the upgrading of railway infrastructure and other related works, which may include maintenance, construction, and alteration of bridges, coastal defense, platform works, footbridges, car parks, embankment/cutting works, roads, earthworks, drainage, boundary treatment, minor civil engineering and building works, installation of ducting/services routes, demolition of railway structures, foundation works, ground engineering, and geotechnical processes. The works are for projects valued between €1 million and €5 million. Suppliers must be approved for inclusion on the Qualification System.

This is a call to competition by Iarnród Éireann to establish a multi-party Qualification System with three lots for large Civil Engineering Works associated with the upgrading of the railway infrastructure or Rosslare Europort and other related works that Iarnród Éireann may undertake directly or on behalf of Bus Eireann, Dublin Bus or CIE on their properties. Iarnród Éireann, also known as Irish Rail, operates Ireland's national railway network. Iarnród Éireann was founded in 1987, as a subsidiary of Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ). Iarnród Éireann operates all internal InterCity, Commuter, DART, and freight train services in the Republic of Ireland, as well as the Enterprise service between Dublin and Belfast, in collaboration with Northern Ireland Railways. In addition to its railway services, Iarnród Éireann also oversees the operation of Rosslare Europort, which serves as a significant ferry port connecting Ireland with destinations in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. The extent and details of these works will vary from location to location. All project works shall be tendered to those companies, depending on the selected lot, approved for inclusion on this Qualification System under the chosen lot. Companies may apply for one or multiple lots and can apply for inclusion at any stage of the Qualification System’s duration. 9096 Qualification System for Civil Engineering Works €50k to €1m

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants to establish a Qualification System for Civil Engineering associated with upgrading of the railway infrastructure and other related works that Iarnród Eireann may undertake directly or on behalf of Bus Eireann, Dublin Bus or CIE on their properties. The extent and details of these works will vary from location to location. The project works (from €50k up to value of €1M) shall be tendered to those Contractors approved for inclusion on this Qualification System. Examples of project works required may include but are not limited to any of the following: Any works required to facilitate construction of new platforms and/or extension and upgrading of existing platforms, Construction of footbridges and any associated lift installations, Any works required to facilitate construction of new car parks and/or extension and upgrading of existing car parks, Any works required to facilitate bridge widening, bridge replacement, bridge closures, road realignments, access roads etc, Construction of new over and underbridges, Alterations / maintenance to existing railway underbridges or overbridges, Embankment/cutting works including widening, strengthening and repair, Coastal defence works, Construction of roads, earthworks, drainage, boundary treatment and minor civil engineering works, Any works required to facilitate the installation of ducting / services routes / equipment cabinets etc. or relocation of services adjacent to the railway, Maintenance and demolition of existing railway structures / infrastructure, Works to existing and new OHLE support structures and infrastructure, Works to existing and new signalling support structures and infrastructure, Works to install new TPS (Train Protection System) infrastructure, Foundation works, ground engineering and geotechnical processes, All associated temporary works to ensure the continued operation of the railway.

8946 - Qualification System for Building Works

Iarnród Éireann currently has an existing Qualification System (QS) in place for building works which expires in April 2025. It is proposed to establish a 5-year qualification system (until April 2030) with an option to extend for up to 2 additional years (until April 2032) for the following lots: • Lot 1: Building Works up to €1M (Non-Heritage related) • Lot 2: Building Works up to €1M (Heritage related) • Lot 3: Building Works greater than €1M (Non-Heritage related) • Lot 4: Building Works greater than €1M (Heritage related)
