    Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants to establish a Qualification System for Traffic Management Services nationwide. These services may be required during day, night, weekday, weekend or over public holidays. These works can vary from minor street works requiring a short-term temporary lane closure to major traffic management on motorways or dual carriageways lasting several months. Many of these projects will require traffic management design element. Roads classification Level 1i to Level 3ii. This Qualification System will operate for a period of 4 years with a option to extend into year 5 and a second option to extend into year 6, at IÉ’s discretion While the Qualification System is open for applicants to join during this period, it is advisable to complete and return the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire by the initial completed questionnaire closing date as stated on the cover page. Those companies successfully appointed to the Qualification System will be invited to make tender submissions on all future tender. This is a qualification system and qualified applicants will be asked to tender as requirements arise.

      9096 Qualification System for Civil Engineering Works €50k to €1m

      Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants to establish a Qualification System for Civil Engineering associated with upgrading of the railway infrastructure and other related works that Iarnród Eireann may undertake directly or on behalf of Bus Eireann, Dublin Bus or CIE on their properties. The extent and details of these works will vary from location to location. The project works (from €50k up to value of €1M) shall be tendered to those Contractors approved for inclusion on this Qualification System. Examples of project works required may include but are not limited to any of the following: Any works required to facilitate construction of new platforms and/or extension and upgrading of existing platforms, Construction of footbridges and any associated lift installations, Any works required to facilitate construction of new car parks and/or extension and upgrading of existing car parks, Any works required to facilitate bridge widening, bridge replacement, bridge closures, road realignments, access roads etc, Construction of new over and underbridges, Alterations / maintenance to existing railway underbridges or overbridges, Embankment/cutting works including widening, strengthening and repair, Coastal defence works, Construction of roads, earthworks, drainage, boundary treatment and minor civil engineering works, Any works required to facilitate the installation of ducting / services routes / equipment cabinets etc. or relocation of services adjacent to the railway, Maintenance and demolition of existing railway structures / infrastructure, Works to existing and new OHLE support structures and infrastructure, Works to existing and new signalling support structures and infrastructure, Works to install new TPS (Train Protection System) infrastructure, Foundation works, ground engineering and geotechnical processes, All associated temporary works to ensure the continued operation of the railway.
