    Tekniske kontrolltjenester

Iarnród Eireann-Irish Rail needs engineering consulting services for railway bridge assessments at various locations throughout the IE Rail Network in Ireland. The services involve regular monitoring and analysis of approximately 3000 railway bridges to ensure safety and reliability, assess structural performance for heavier loads, and advise on route clearances for rolling stock. The contract duration is 7 years. The buyer intends to issue a multi-party, multi-lot Framework Agreement from this Qualification System to qualified companies in the future.

    About the bid

IE invites Applicants to participate in the pre-qualification process to appoint suitably qualified companies to a Qualification System (QS) for Railway Bridge Assessments, at various locations throughout the IE Rail Network. Those companies successfully appointed to the QS will receive all future tender enquiries. Background Information: Iarnród Éireann has an aging infrastructure with approximately 3000 railway bridges. These bridges transport cars and trucks (bridges known as overbridges) as well as railway traffic (bridges known as underbridges). All the bridges require regular monitoring and analysis to ensure safety and reliability. As the weight and size of our rolling stock is likely to increase into the future, this will put more stress onto our ageing infrastructure. Therefore, it is crucial to assess the structural performance of our bridges to accommodate heavier loads and maintain safety. Hence, Iarnród Éireann wishes to invite tenders for consideration for the provision of qualified and experienced engineering consultants to aid in the assessment of our railway bridges and to advice on route clearances for our rolling stock. We require consultants that can undertake all Level bridge assessments as defined in the PQQ document. IE may issue ad-hoc tenders from this QS to the qualified companies; however it is intended that a multi-party, multi-lot Framework Agreement will be issued from this QS to the qualified companies in the future to cover the above requirements.
