Technical and Logistical Assistance for the Organisation of the Policy Forum on Development

The European Commission, NEAR - Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, needs services for technical and logistical assistance for the organisation of the Policy Forum on Development (PFD) and ad hoc consultations, over 4 years, with a maximum total value of 3,927,334 EUR. The services involve facilitating dialogue spaces (in-person and virtual) and consultations at global and regional levels with civil society networks, foundations, associations of local authorities, EU institutions, and Member States. The contractor will also support the European Commission in exploring new avenues of cooperation with CSOs, foundations, and LAs, and contribute to drafting concept notes, policy updates, background papers, and other relevant material for the dialogue. The project aims to strengthen climate resilience and adaptive capacities of governments, civil society, municipalities, and small and medium enterprises in Benin, Republic of Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, and Senegal. The services will focus on implementing small-scale adaptation projects, updating pipelines of bankable climate adaptation projects, and facilitating knowledge and technology transfer through a regional Reverse Linkage initiative, with a target of mobilizing up to EUR 60 million in additional funds. The project emphasizes collaboration between GIZ, the African Development Bank (AfDB), and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
