Cable handling equipment

This procurement consists of a turnkey delivery of one turntable and cable transportation equipment. The delivery schedule for this unit is 30.4.2027Main features of the procedureGENERAL Fingrid Oyj, the Finnish national transmission system operator, is initiating this procurement process for the procurement of a turntable and cable transportation system for delivery by 30.4.2027. With this Invitation to Participate, Fingrid is looking for capable and interested candidates to provide the required equipment. In our operating model, a strong service network and good suppliers, as well as good cooperation between different contractual partners, are especially important. We require all our contractual partners to be aware of Fingrid’s significant duties as the responsible transmission system operator in Finland and to commit to responsibility for the economic, social, and environmental impacts of their operations. The delivery, including all required transportation and erection, will be performed as a turnkey delivery. The delivery will be separate from the warehouse civil construction project performed by another contractor; however, there is a need to coordinate the delivery with the construction work on site. DELIVERY / SCOPE OF SUPPLY Delivery of one turntable and cable transportation equipment, such as loading arms, tensioners, and rollers, including: - Cable transportation route equipment and design - Engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and testing for all equipment included in the delivery All necessary logistics, e.g.: - Transportation to Finland and unloading onto the foundation Erection, testing, and commissioning on site. Specifications and detailed information will be provided to qualified bidders in the negotiation stage of the procurement process. PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE OF THE PROCUREMENT Fingrid will use the negotiated procedure for this procurement. Fingrid reserves the right to revise and edit the schedule during the process. The negotiated procedure will tentatively proceed as follows: INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE This Invitation to Participate has been published. The deadline for submitting the participation application is 4.5.2026. APPLICATIONS AND THEIR EVALUATION (Pre-Qualification) All candidates who have submitted their application by the set deadline and who meet the minimum requirements for the candidate’s eligibility will be selected for the negotiated procedure. The qualification decision is expected in week 19. After the decision, all qualified candidates will be invited to negotiations and will receive preliminary tender documentation. NEGOTIATIONS Fingrid will hold one negotiation round with all participants in week 22. Candidates shall provide questions, comments, and requests for clarification based on the tender documentation by 22.5.2026. The purpose of the negotiations is to present the inquiry documents, clarify technical issues, discuss logistics, and answer any open questions. All candidates shall be provided with answers to questions of common relevance. There will be only one round of negotiations before the Final Call for Tenders. For efficiency, the negotiations will be held via MS Teams or a similar conference call program. FINAL CALL FOR TENDERS Fingrid will provide the final tender documents to candidates during week 23. DEADLINE FOR TENDERS Candidates shall submit their final tenders for the procurement. The tender deadline is expected to be 22.6.2026. EVALUATION OF FINAL TENDERS AND CONTRACT AWARD The objective is to finalize the procurement process by end of week 27.
