    The European Commission, DG JRC - Joint Research Centre, located in Spain, has entered into an agreement with STICHTING CLIMATE-KIC INTERNATIONALFOUNDATION, ASSOCIATION EUROPEENNE DES AGENCESDE DEVELOPPEMENT, and EUROPEAN REGIONS RESEARCH AND INNOVATION NETWORK for the delivery of services related to capacity building and experimentation for innovation for place-based transformation. The purpose of this agreement is to support the JRC's experimentation with new regions by applying a co-developed methodology, with the aim of increasing the capacity for testing place-based experimentation and potentially working with up to 30 new regions. The final contract value is 250,313 €.

    About the bid

      As part of the Preparatory Action “Innovation for Place-Based transformation” the JRC is working with over 200 regions to mainstream transformative place-based innovation. As continutation of the current initiative, the JRC in collaboration with relevant policy GD, is designing new-challenge led experimentation with the aim to increase the capacity for testing place-based experimentation, opening the option to work with up to 30 new regions. The reason behind the purchase is to support the JRC experimentation with new regions by applying the methodology that has ben co-developed by the JRC together with the existing contractor.
