Brief

Havenbedrijf Rotterdam has entered into an agreement with Kalmar Netherlands B.V, Den Bosch Max B.V., REAL1ZE B.V., ECT Delta Terminal B.V., Celsius Holding B.V, C. Steinweg-Handelsveem B.V., Harbour Stone B.V., and Fleet Robotics B.V. for the delivery of services aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the Rotterdam port area. The initiative, named Carbonbid, seeks to co-finance effective solutions proposed and implemented by participants to accelerate emission reduction before January 1, 2030. The award criteria focused on the lowest bid price per tonne of greenhouse gas reduction.

  • Carbonbid is a new initiative with the goal of: Reducing as many greenhouse gases as possible in the port emission area before January 1, 2030. Port of Rotterdam aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Rotterdam port area. Carbonbid accelerates emission reduction by co-financing the most effective solutions that achieve reductions. These solutions are proposed and implemented by the participants themselves.
