Întreprinderea de Stat „Calea Ferată din Moldova” are nevoie de servicii de proiectare și execuție de lucrări pentru proiectul „Reabilitarea liniei de cale ferată Roman – Iași – Frontieră – Etapa I – Electrificarea liniei de cale ferată Iași – Frontieră (RO) – Ungheni (MD)”, în cadrul unui aranjament de tip „Design & Build / La cheie”, cu o valoare maximă totală de 5.621.016 EUR, pe o durată de 24 de luni. Contractul include proiectarea și execuția lucrărilor pe teritoriul Republicii Moldova, inclusiv modernizarea podului feroviar Eiffel peste râul Prut, reconstrucția infrastructurii feroviare și a liniilor de cale ferată cu ecartament de 1435 mm în stația Ungheni, electrificarea liniei de cale ferată la 25 kV, 50 Hz, inclusiv sistemul de alimentare cu energie de tracțiune și linia de contact aeriană, precum și lucrări legate de semnalizare, interblocare, telecomunicații și protecția/relocarea rețelelor de utilități afectate.
