    De Europese Commissie, DG SANTE - Health and Food Safety, heeft een overeenkomst gesloten met THALES ALENIA SPACE FRANCE voor de levering van diensten gericht op het verbeteren van de Galileo Search and Rescue (SAR) diensten. Het project omvat de ontwikkeling en voorstelling van innovatieve oplossingen om de prestaties van de SAR-diensten te verbeteren (detectiekans, locatienauwkeurigheid), het dienstenportfolio te verrijken met nieuwe functionaliteiten, en nieuwe technologieën en bestaande commerciële oplossingen te benutten voor een effectievere SAR-dienst. De overeenkomst heeft een looptijd van 1 jaar en een totale waarde van 300.000 euro. Er waren 2 inschrijvingen.

    • The project's objective is to develop and propose innovative solutions aimed at enhancing the Galileo Search and Rescue (SAR) services performances, (detection probability, location accuracy), enriching its service portfolio with new functionalities, and leveraging new technologies and existing commercial solution to provide an improved service to SAR operators and a more effective SAR service for the people in distress.
