Brief
The procurement of Smartport system is part of a Ferry Terminal Turku (FTT) project. The ongoing Ferry Terminal Turku project is upgrading the Turku passenger harbour into a maritime hub that will fulfil the requirements of the modern, fast-paced, streamlined, and safe vessel traffic. The project is due for completion in December 2027. The aim of this procurement is to integrate and automate vehicle check-in and boarding processes in the upcoming Ferry Terminal Turku port with up to two roro ferries turning around together in less than one hour. Concurrent departures will be handled from a single waiting area and check-in processes with as little personnel as possible. A summary of the specifications highlighting the main characteristics of the project are attached to the Invitation to participate. All the specifications on the Smartport system attached to this Invitation to participate represent the client’s preliminary viewpoints and are open for negotiation. The aim is to negotiate with the tenderers to review and determine the best way of satisfying the requirements and aims for the procurement set by the client. The Partnership with the winner of the competitive tendering will begin with an analysis and design phase after which, the chosen tenderer submits an offer for supplying of the system. Description
The candidate has one reference for equivalent Smartport system contract where the candidate has completed the contract (supplied and accepted for use) after which the contract has continued with a support and maintenance service. The reference must fulfil the following criteria: •the system is operational in a RoRo-port where freight and passenger traffic are combined •the system includes pre-check system, automatic gates and automatic traffic control •the site is located in conditions similar to the Finnish climate •the supply contract includes software maintenance •the system must be the same as the system that will be offered to the client (an updated version of the system also meets the requirement). The mandatory reference must be from the last three (3) years. This means that the support services of the reference contract in question have been in force for at least 6 months since May 2021 (the actual supplying of the system may, however, have taken place before).
