    The European Commission, Joint Research Centre (JRC) is planning the procurement of services for operating the "Hydrological Forecast Centre - Computation" in support of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS) Flood Early Warning Systems. This framework contract aims to execute flood forecasts for EFAS and GloFAS and host data dissemination and visualization platforms. The current contract, 941462-IPR-2021, is likely held by the incumbent supplier.

    About the bid

      The objective of this framework contract is to operate the CEMS "Hydrological Forecast Centre - Computation" (COMP) service in support to the flood early warning and monitoring component of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS) which continues as full operational service as defined in article 51(1.b)) of the regulation (EU) 2021/696 of the Union Space Program. The role of COMP is to execute the flood forecasts for EFAS and GloFAS and hosts the different data dissemination and visualization platforms. The framework contract is a follow up of an existing framework contract 941462-IPR-2021. The CEMS implementation is an inter-service arrangement between DG JRC, DG DEFIS and DG ECHO (Ares (2021) 2234141). The JRC is in charge of preparing and implements the CEMS work programmes, manages dedicated budgets and supervises the implementation of service tasks.
