    The University of Helsinki has entered into an agreement with Oy G.W. Berg & Co Ab for the delivery of a high-speed, high-resolution spinning-disk confocal microscope for live cell and fixed samples to the Biomedicum Imaging Unit in Helsinki-Uusimaa. The contract has a duration of 2 years and a value of 427,000 €. The agreement also includes an option for an annual preventative maintenance contract for 5 years after the warranty period. The system must be delivered and installed within 14 weeks from the purchase order date. The award criteria prioritized price (85%) and warranty period (15%).     From the notice

    • We asked tenders for an advanced spinning-disk confocal microscopy system (High-speed High-resolution Spinning-disk Confocal Microscope for live cell and fixed samples). Instrumentation will be acquired to the Biomedicum Imaging Unit, imaging core facility within the University of Helsinki. Maximum price of system is 450 000 € (VAT 0 %), including shipping, installation, user training, and insurance until final acceptance of instrument. System must be delivered and installed within 14 weeks from purchase order date. In addition, we ask annual preventative maintenance contract for total 5 years after warranty period as an option. Price per year after warranty period shall be indicated and total price over five years given (for the evaluation). The buyer reserves the right to decide at the end of each yearly period whether to accept the option of continuing the service contract for another year (up to maximum five years) at tendered price.
