De elektrische installaties van het waterschap dienen te voldoen aan de geldende normen. Dit om de veiligheid voor de gebruikers te waarborgen en de installaties in goede staat te houden. Een inspectie van de installaties is een onderdeel van het op orde houden van de installaties. Het gaat hierbij om de opleveringsinspectie na verbouw of nieuwbouw alsook de periodieke inspecties. Op drie locaties heeft het waterschap installaties die zich in een gas gezoneerd gebied bevinden, zogenaamde ATEX installaties.
