    St James's Hospital needs a digital PCR platform, including all hardware, software, and ancillary equipment, along with associated reagents and support, for its Cancer Molecular Diagnostics Department in Dublin.     About the bid

      The Contracting Authority (CA) seeks to purchase one digital PCR instrument, including all hardware, software and ancillary equipment required for routine operation. The purchase shall include a minimum three-year comprehensive warranty, installation, commissioning and training.The CA intends initially to use the platform for assay development, evaluation and method transfer and wishes to purchase an agreed quantity/value of development reagents and consumables at the commencement of the contract. These reagents shall be available for draw-down by the laboratory as required over the three-year agreement. During the course of the agreement, the CA may elect to develop new assays or migrate selected existing molecular diagnostic assays to dPCR where this provides appropriate clinical, analytical or operational benefit. The extent and timing of such migration will be determined by the CA according to clinical and service requirements and does not represent a commitment to implement any specific assay or purchase any minimum quantity of reagents.
