Forsvarsmateriell har inngått en rammeavtale med Locheed Martin Global INC. for levering av materiellanskaffelse for AEGIS på Fritjof Nansen-klasse fregattene, med en varighet på 24 måneder og en maksimal total verdi på 10 millioner USD. Avtalen ble tildelt uten forutgående kunngjøring på grunn av tekniske årsaker, da Locheed Martin Corp. var den opprinnelige leverandøren av AEGIS-systemet og er den eneste med tilgjengelig ekspertise og eierskap til tekniske tegninger for å bygge Norwegian Unique Aegis Parts (NUAP).
