The software is a key tool for coursework, studies, and supporting teaching and learning in higher education institutions. MathWorks is the sole supplier for MATLAB licensing.

      MatLAB software is a high-performance language for technical computing which integrates computation, visualization and programming in an environment where problems and solutions are expressed in mathematical notation. The software is a key tool used in course work and studies by students. It is also a key tool in the support of teaching and learning in Institutions. This Agreement is being put in place to cover the higher education degree granting members of HEAnet. El propósito es contar con un software reconocido en simulación científica y tecnológica para docencia e investigación, que permita incrementar la empleabilidad de los egresados y facilite la enseñanza y la investigación en áreas que requieran herramientas matemáticas, estadísticas y optimización de procesos de alto rendimiento.
