Kouvolan Rautatie- ja Aikuiskoulutus Oy har inngått en avtale med TRANSURB SA om å levere 3-6 flyttbare togsimulatorer for opplæring av lokførere. Simulatorenhetene skal ha fysiske kontroller for hovedfunksjonene og berøringsskjermer for mindre prioriterte funksjoner, og skal være lette nok til å flyttes av én person. Simulatoren skal simulere Siemens Vectron-lokomotiv (finsk spesifikasjon), det finske jernbanenettet med all signalering, skilt og driftsregler. Det skal være mulig å lage scenarier med ulike driftsregler, værforhold, tid på døgnet, samt feil på tog og infrastruktur. Simulatoren skal også inkludere interaktive AI-elementer som andre tog, dyr, mennesker og fallende trær. Programvaren må være moderne og utviklingsbar. Kontrakten har en verdi på 158 087 euro.

KRAO is acquiring movable train simulators for training train drivers. There should be between 3-6 simulator units with physical controls for the main functions of the train, functions with less priority can be done with touchscreens. The simulators should be as lightweight as possible, so that one person can move them around to different training locations. The simulators should simulate Siemens Vectron locomotive (Finnish spec), Finnish railway network with all it's signaling, signs and operational rules. There has to be possibility to create scenarios with different operational rules and weather conditions, different day/time properties, multiple possible faults at the train simulated and also at the infrastructure (tracks, switches, electrical components etc.). There should also be interactive AI elements like other trains, animals, people, falling trees etc. Software must be modern technology and developable in the future.
