Předmětem Soutěže je návrh architektonického řešení novostavby budovy Magistrátu města Brna, která bude umístěna na ulici Benešova situované na brněnské okružní třídě, včetně přilehlých veřejných prostranství v rozsahu řešeného území. Záměrem statutárního města Brna je realizovat moderní a civilní úřad, který bude pohodlný pro veřejnost i jeho zaměstnance. Hlavním posláním nové budovy Magistrátu města Brna je integrace přepážkových pracovišť „front office“ s agendou spojenou s evidencí obyvatel, občanskými průkazy, cestovními pasy a evidencí vozidel a oprávnění, řidičskými průkazy apod. Součástí nové budovy budou i běžná kancelářská pracoviště odborů zajišťujících ostatní agendy. The subject of the Competition is the design of an architectural design of a new building of the Brno City Municipality, which will be located on Benešova Street situated on the Brno ring road, including adjacent public spaces in the scope of the area being designed. The intention of the Statutory City of Brno is to implement a modern and civil office that will be comfortable for the public as well as its employees.   V rámci hodnotícího kritéria „komplexní kvalita soutěžního návrhu“ bude soutěžní porota hodnotit kvalitu urbanisticko-architektonického návrhu, provozní funkčnost a realizovatelnost, kvalitu dopravního řešení a míru naplnění požadavků soutěžního zadání. Within the evaluation criterion "overall quality of the competition proposal", the competition jury will evaluate the quality of the urban-architectural design, operational functionality and feasibility, the quality of the transport solution and the degree of fulfillment of the requirements of the competition assignment.

  V rámci hodnotícího kritéria „ekonomická přiměřenost soutěžního návrhu“ bude soutěžní porota hodnotit hospodárnost návrhů s přihlédnutím k předpokládaným investičním nákladům a budoucím provozním nákladům na stavbu. Within the evaluation criterion "economic adequacy of the competition proposal", the competition jury will evaluate the cost-effectiveness of the designs, taking into account the estimated investment costs and the future operating costs of the building.
