Brief
Norsk Rikskringkasting AS (NRK) is planning a new framework agreement for CDN services supporting streaming delivery, web traffic acceleration and security, and is conducting market research on suppliers, market capabilities, functionality and security products to inform the upcoming tender. Interested suppliers can contribute information and insights through the RFI. Telenor Norge AS, GlobalConnect AB, Akamai and IP-Only Networks AB were awarded the current agreement.

The deadline for submitting responses to this RFI is January 22, 2027, at 16:00 CET. NRK utilizes CDN services from three vendors that currently assist us with delivering streaming services, web traffic acceleration, and security services. NRK has organized its CDN service contracts under a framework agreement. The current agreement is scheduled for a new main tender and must be fully implemented by January 1, 2028. Consequently, NRK wishes to issue a market inquiry to gather information regarding vendors, the CDN market, functionality, security products, and other relevant insights. This will ensure readiness for issuing a new RFP in the spring of 2027, with the objective of securing an optimal framework agreement for CDN services - benefiting NRK's audience, vendors, and NRK as the contract owner.
