    Brief

    VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd needs photomasks for research projects and small-scale production needs, to be delivered primarily to the Micronova cleanroom in Espoo, Finland, with minor needs in other VTT locations. The contract is a framework agreement with a maximum total value of 2,000,000 EUR over 4 years. The photomasks will be used with standard semiconductor industry process equipment, including a Canon FPA3000-i4 5x wafer stepper and three mask aligners, for end products such as active silicon devices, radiation detectors, MEMS devices, and various thin film devices. Compugraphics International Ltd has a similar contract today. The award criterion is price, weighted at 100%.

    • The object of the procurement is photomasks. VTT is using photomasks for research projects and in small-scale production needs. The photomasks are used in Micronova cleanroom, located in Espoo, Finland. There can also be minor order needs in other VTT locations in Finland. The Micronova cleanroom is equipped with standard semiconductor industry process equipment including Canon FPA3000-i4 5x wafer stepper and three mask aligners. End products are for example active silicon devices, radiation detectors, MEMS devices and various thin film devices. VTT uses different types of photomasks. The object of the tender process is described in more detail in the invitation to tender documents.Main features of the procedureThe tender process is based on the open procedure applicable to contracts that exceed the EU procurement threshold.
