La embarcación se utilizará para la persecución e interceptación de objetivos peligrosos, dispositivos de seguridad, lucha contra el narcotráfico y otras funciones marítimas de la Guardia Civil en Madrid. Los criterios de adjudicación se basan en la calidad (70%, incluyendo incremento del plazo de garantía con un 10%, material del casco con un 30%, mejora de la autonomía mínima exigida con un 20% y mejora de la velocidad máxima exigida con un 10%) y el precio (30%).
