Brief
The Ministry of Finance in Finland is launching a procurement procedure for the supplying of Finnish euro circulation coins and organising the selling of commemorative and collector coins for collectors. Commemorative coins for collectors are in this context Finnish commemorative coins, collector coins and coin sets. The contracting authority's objective is to find a supplier responsible for the whole supply of Finnish euro coins intended for circulation and for the organising the selling of coins for coin collectors. The supply of euro coins includes the following tasks: production, packaging, intermediate storage and delivery of Finnish euro coins intended for circulation. The euro coins must comply with the relevant legislation, denominations, technical specifications and designs. The organisation of commemorative and collector coins selling for coin collectors includes the organisation of Finnish coin selling activities as a complete service. The service includes the production, packaging, marketing and selling of Finnish commemorative and collector coins and the receiving of collector coins returned by the public. The organisation of coin selling is governed by the annual programme of collector and commemorative coinage approved by the Ministry of Finance in Finland. In addition to commemorative and collector coins, it is also compulsory to provide coin sets. The tender competition is expected to take place at the beginning of the year 2024. This is a prior information notice ("hereinafter notice") and not a call for tenders. The information provided in this notice is preliminary and is subject to change during preparation. Answering or not answering to this request for information shall not preclude participation in a possible tender competition. This notice is for potential suppliers interested in a call for tenders, with whom a market dialogue will be conducted. The market dialogue material and procurement documents will be partly confidential, and therefore suppliers interested in the procurement will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement before disclosing confidential material. The request for information does not oblige Ministry of Finance to carry out the actual call for tenders. Hansel Ltd, a central purchasing body, operates in a consultative role in the procurement process.
