This is a prior information notice (PIN) not an official tender at this point for the supply, installation and lease of a temporary structure to house personal training/Gym equipment for a fully functioning Gym at Tralee Regional Spors and Leisure Centre. It is Kerry ETB’s intention to issue a tender notice in due course. Background Tralee Regional Sports and Leisure Centre • Constructed in 1975/76, the centre is jointly owned by Kerry ETB and Kerry County Council, and leased to Tralee Regional Sports & Leisure Company Limited by Guarantee since 2018 on a 30-year lease • Kerry ETB and KCC have formed a Development Committee to oversee the redevelopment and phased restoration of Tralee Regional Sports & Leisure Centre (TRSLC). This committee will ensure the structured progression of works, effective governance, and financial oversight throughout the project’s lifecycle.. • The Tralee Regional Sports and Leisure Centre CLG operates the centre under lease with Kerry ETB and KCC. Tralee Regional Sports & Leisure Centre CLG is a company limited by guarantee established to manage and operate the Tralee Regional Sports & Leisure Centre, a key public sports and recreation facility located in Tralee, Co. Kerry. The company operates on a not-for-profit basis and is jointly supported by Kerry Education and Training Board (Kerry ETB) and Kerry County Council, reflecting a strong public partnership in the delivery of community-focused amenities. Brief Scope of Works Project Overview: This project will involve the design, supply, installation, and leasing of a circa. 450m² temporary structure to serve as a fully functional gym facility, accommodating personal training equipment while the existing centre undergoes redevelopment. Key Requirements: • Temporary Structure: o Provide a fully enclosed, weatherproof circa. 450m² temporary building. o Structure must be suitable for gym operations, including adequate ceiling height and ventilation. o Lease duration: 2 years. o Must be designed for disassembly and removal at end of lease term. • Design and Build Contract: o Contractor will be responsible for full design and construction, including obtaining relevant approvals and certifications. o Submit structural and building certification ensuring compliance with local codes and standards. • Foundations and Floor Load Capacity: o Design and construct appropriate foundations suitable for the temporary structure and site conditions. o Ensure floor load capacity is sufficient to support heavy gym equipment and dynamic loads typical in a fitness environment. • Site Works: o Include all associated external works such as: Access steps and DDA-compliant ramps. Connection to existing site services (water, power, sewer, drainage). Internal and external lighting. Plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical services as needed. Drainage works to manage stormwater and prevent water ingress. Directional and safety signage. • Health & Safety: o Contractor must comply with all applicable health and safety regulations. o Provide a site-specific safety plan, risk assessments, and induction procedures. • Location: o The temporary structure is to be installed on the designated area
