    Åbo Akademi tar vastaan tarjouksia ei-pohjoismaisten painettujen kirjojen välityspalveluista Varsinais-Suomeen. Sopimuksen enimmäisarvo on 180 000 euroa. Palveluntarjoajan tulee toimittaa kirjoja tilaus-toimitusprosessina asiakkaan ilmoittamiin toimitusosoitteisiin, ja sen on kyettävä tarjoamaan kirjoja ainakin englanniksi, saksaksi ja ranskaksi. Palveluun sisältyy myös erikseen tilattavia lisäpalveluita. F.Delbanco GmbH Co. KG:lla on vastaava sopimus tällä hetkellä. Tarjoukset arvioidaan hinnan (95 %) ja saatavuudesta poistettujen kirjojen palvelun (5 %) perusteella. Vaatimuksena on referenssi aiemmista toimituksista.

Hankintaan osallistuvat Joensuun seutukirjasto (Joensuun ja Outokummun kaupungit sekä Kontiolahden, Liperin ja Polvijärven kunnat), Heinäveden, Ilomantsin, Juuan, Rääkkylän, Tohmajärven ja Valtimon kunnat sekä Kiteen, Lieksan ja Nurmeksen kaupungit ja Karelia ammattikorkeakoulu Oy. Kirja-aineistot kilpailutetaan osallistumishakemuksen tehneiden ja järjestelmään hyväksyttyjen toimittajien kesken. Kirjastot käyttävät sähköistä hankintaportaalia, joka vertailee yksittäisten hankintojen hintoja ja ohjaa tilauksen edullisimman hinnan tarjoavalle toimittajalle tilaushetkellä (huomioiden mahdollisen muovituksen kustannukset).
