Brief

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service has cancelled the competition for electrical maintenance services and lighting upgrade due to all tenders being withdrawn or found inadmissible. The services were to include electrical PPM maintenance and installation at the National Blood Centre, James St, Dublin 8, with potential work at other blood clinics in Ireland. The project also involved installation, maintenance, and verification of Cat6A IT cabling, upgrading electrical systems, and redesigning all lighting to LED in the National Blood Centre, for a duration of 5 years.

From the notice

  • IBTS require a maintenance an electrical project manager maintenance electrician to carry out electrical PPM maintenance and installation at the National Blood Centre, James St, Dublin 8. Primarily based at the National Blood Centre but will be required to also carry out electrical project managing or organise external resource maintenance requirements and statutory inspections at all other all Blood clinics/based in Ireland if requested by the IBTS. Installation, maintenance and verification of Cat6A IT cabling, future upgrading of all current electrical system s and circuits in NBC and total change out and redesign of all lighting to LED in NBC forms a significant part of the role.
