    Linköpings universitet har inngått en avtale med Hewlett-Packard, Sverige, Aktiebolag om å levere en EuroHPC midrange superdatamaskin i Östergötlands län. Avtalen, som inkluderer levering av HPC-systemet, installasjon, service og support, har en estimert verdi på rundt 490 millioner svenske kroner og en faktisk verdi på 45 295 000 euro. Kontrakten ble tildelt basert på en kostnadseffektivitetsvurdering som inkluderte gjennomstrømningsytelse, strømforbruk og andre kvalitetsaspekter for en total eierkostnad over fem år. Fire leverandører deltok i konkurransen.

    About the bid

      This is a joint procurement between Linköping University (LiU) and European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) in accordance with Council Regulation (EU) 2021/1173 of 13 July 2021 on establishing the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking and repealing Regulation (EU) 2018/1488, where the parties together intend to acquire a mid-range supercomputer. LiU and EuroHPC JU, therefore, invite suppliers who wish to participate in the negotiated procurement for the supply of one (1) EuroHPC midrange supercomputer to submit a request to participate.  The Contract Amount includes the delivered HPC system, installation, service and support. It will depend on the life-cycle cost. The Contract Amount is estimated to be around 490,000,000 SEK, excluding VAT, depending on the installed solution and its power and cooling usage, as well as the currency rate for SEK.

    • Description

      LiU will identify the most economically advantageous tender from LiU's point of view using a cost-effectiveness approach. The cost-effectiveness will be calculated using throughput performance and some other quality aspects for a given total cost of ownership. Throughput performance and power consumption are measured/estimated by the tenderer using specified benchmarks and submitted in the tender. These will be verified on the installed equipment as part of the acceptance test. Total cost includes costs for the delivered HPC system, installation, service and support, power and cooling over five (5) years life-cycle.
