The University of Helsinki has awarded Mewasa AG a 24-month contract worth €92,405 to supply 3 MUSIC and 16 GEM-TPC edge-welded metal bellows assemblies for the FAIR in-kind contribution project in Helsinki. The assemblies must be manufactured to the specified technical drawings and meet demanding high-vacuum requirements, including a vacuum below 10⁻⁷ mbar and an integral leak rate no greater than 10⁻⁹ mbar·l/s; ultra-high-vacuum cleanliness was also assessed. From the notice
The University of Helsinki will procure edge-welded metal bellows assemblies for the FAIR in-kind contribution project.
